Our theme this year is based on a silent science fiction film created by famed Austrian-German director Fritz Lang and released in 1927.

Metropolip is set in the year 2026, in the extraordinary Gothic skyscrapers of a corporate city-state, the Metropolis of the title. Society has been divided into two rigid groups: one of planners or thinkers, who live high above the earth in luxury, and another of workers who live underground toiling to sustain the lives of the privileged.

Seven years ago after Madame S put on a fashion show (45 gorgeous models) they truly stunned the promoter (James Stone) of the L.A. Fetish Ball. He brought me to dinner and said “Tchukon, San Francisco needs a party like this and I think you can pull it off.” That summer the planning was in full motion and 10 months later the SF Fetish Ball was born.

It came out kicking and screaming with Torture Garden from London, a fashion show by Madame S and a strip tease from yesteryear with Dita Von Teese and Catherine D’lish. Midori was our MC and Uncle Paul did his magic while Jewels not only swallowed a sword, but also escaped from a straightjacket suspended from the ceiling while the rope burned.

Several years later, Paige White and Tchukon Hunter togehter formed Uber Ego, which will continue to throw the San Francisco Fetish Ball and other events.
